At New Mexico State University, Phi Alpha Theta (PAT) serves a dual purpose as the local Rho-Zeta chapter of the International Honor Society in History and as the History Graduate Student Organization (GSO). Undergraduate students are certainly welcome and encouraged to join and participate.

Involvement with the GSO does not require official membership to the national organization, but is strongly encouraged for furthering one’s personal and professional development. If you would like to be considered for an officer position you must be a member of the national organization.

The requirements for membership to the national organization can be found at phialphatheta.org/membership-requirements.
